The project enables more extensive and personalized support during the business start-up phase and throughout the first year of operation.
The service is intended for people with an immigrant background living in South Ostrobothnia.
Services provided through the project include:
- Mapping skills and the path to entrepreneurship or employment
- Assistance with creating a business plan
- Help with company registration
- Support with permits and applications
- Market and customer segment analysis
- Assistance with marketing planning
- Guidance in using digital tools
- Advice on taxation
- Introduction to Finnish working culture
- Support in building networks

The project “From Immigrant to Entrepreneur in South Ostrobothnia” is co-funded by the European Union. The project responds to an identified need to promote entrepreneurship among people with an immigrant background and to strengthen their participation in the local business environment.
The aim of the project is to address these challenges by piloting a new service model – a support person service for immigrants, which supports the entrepreneurial journey from the initial idea all the way to the end of the company’s first year of operation.
Project duration: 1 March 2026 – 28 February 2029
